PGT Entertainment continues agreement with MDP

Since entering into a management agreement with Matt Davenport Productions in April of this year, PGT Entertainment has completed its move of rehearsal, costume and scenic storage from Florida to Tennessee.  This summer, PGT rehearsed three Princess Cruises casts at the newly renovated MDP facility which is located in White House, TN, and all three casts are now successfully performing on their "stages at sea."   MDP has added a “PGT Wing” to their facility there, with several staff members dedicated to the PGT side of the operation.  The MDP 15,000 foot rehearsal facility is a great fit for PGT, especially when rehearsing multiple casts.  Meanwhile, PGT has kept its core staff in Florida, having moved that office to a new location in Merritt Island.

Says PGT President Cathy Terhune, "We are all excited about combining resources of these two very dynamic and successful entities, while keeping the PGT brand intact, with its reputation for excellence within the cruise industry."

PGT Entertainment Announces Management Agreement with Matt Davenport Productions

PGT Entertainment announced on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, an agreement with Matt Davenport Productions to manage operations, casting, and production development for the company. The agreement leverages the assets, expertise, and vision of two of the production entertainment industry's most prolific organizations for continued growth in the production and cruise ship entertainment industry.

Cathy Terhune noted, "This new evolution of the PGT Entertainment business structure will solidify the company's operating model by streamlining and improving the management and delivery of our product. Matt Davenport has proven himself a mainstay in the entertainment industry, and we're looking forward to a long and productive relationship with his organization."

Matt Davenport Productions' 15,000 square foot production facility, including state of the art office space, rehearsal hall and scenic studios, is located outside of Nashville, TN. The diverse staff of writers, designers, choreographers, arrangers, costumers, and producers have developed and managed shows at Hersheypark, SeaWorld, Country Tonite / Pigeon Forge, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Busch Gardens Tampa, as well as numerous national tours, including the officially sponsored Gershwin centennial production of American Rhapsody.
